End User License Agreement
The terms under which you may use MakerNotch.

Grant
When you buy a license key, Francisco Alé Palacios, trading as Alpa Digital (Calle Mayo 1, Sevilla, Spain), grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use MakerNotch on one Mac at a time that you own or control, for personal or professional use. Polar is the seller of the purchase; Alpa Digital licenses the software.
Activation
The app must be activated with your key. Activation and the periodic check (normally every 3 days, with up to 30 days offline) send Polar your key, a pseudonymous identifier of your Mac and a neutral device label, as described in the privacy policy. You can release a Mac from Settings → License or from the customer portal and use the slot on another Mac.
You may not
- share your license key or use it on more Macs than it allows;
- resell, rent or sublicense MakerNotch;
- remove or work around the license check, except where the law expressly allows it.
Third-party services
MakerNotch connects to services you choose (for example GitHub, Vercel or Stripe) with keys you provide. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. MakerNotch only reads from them, except for creating an empty GitHub repository when you ask it to.
Open-source components
MakerNotch includes open-source software, among others Sparkle (MIT) for updates and the blobatar mascot (MIT). Those components remain under their own licenses.
Refunds and termination
If the purchase is refunded and the license is revoked, or the license lawfully ends following a material breach of this agreement, the app stops working at its next successful license check. Your locally stored projects and settings remain on your Mac. See refunds and withdrawal; mandatory consumer rights are unaffected.
Statutory protections
MakerNotch is supplied with the care required by applicable law. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights or remedies for non-conforming digital products.
